Miss Beartrice Chalmers, with Groom. (circa 1880)
This young Lady is dressed, as you can see, for the most important day of her life - her Wedding Day.
She herself is one of my Dolls House Bears and is approx. 5˝" tall (14 cm.) of a Dark Gold Cashmere and is a fully poseable Bear, with turning head.
Dressed in a fine Silk fitted Gown that has a fine design woven in to the Silk and has a front panel decorated with fine pin tucks, cream Nottingham lace trim and is topped with a Silk lace veil. She has Cotton Silk underclothing that includes two underskirts decorated with Nottingham lace and has a separate Nottingham lace bustle. Her bouquet of red roses was made especially for her by Petite Fleur and she has Diamanté jewellery.
Dress Designer :- This fabulous Gown was designed by the world famous Designer Bear Mademoiselle Estelle Artois of Paris. (Stella to her friends).
Something Old :- The valuable Diamond Necklace is a family heirloom and was worn at both the wedding of her Mother as well as that of her beloved Grandmother.
Something New :- Her fabulous Dress.
Something Borrowed :- The Sapphire Bracelet of her bestest friend Elizabeth.
Something Blue :- She has blue Silk ribbons on her Drawers.
