Here we have a Early Georgian couple in their finest apparel. The gentleman's costume consists of a pair of dupion silk breeches, with an elaborately patterned silk waistcoat befitting the period. The beautifully decorated coat shows his wealth. His good lady has a highly decorated over dress in dupion silk, with lace trims, this shows that her husband is a well to do gentleman. She also shows her love for her husband by wearing an underdress matching his waistcoat. Both bears are in cashmere.
