Elizabearth I
This Bear has taken me along time to do.
I had only been doing a small amount at a time whenever I have fancied doing so, especially as I wanted to make her particularly good. So she was made over a two year period.
She is my interpretation of Queen Elizabeth I - as seen in the painting that is now in the National Portrait Gallery that was painted in 1592.
Her underwear is silk. Her dress is silk. The embroidery is silk thread. There is decoration done with small french knots and also with miniature glass gems and beads. Her head-dress has genuine miniature pearls and opal. The lace collar and cuffs are of silk Nottingham lace.
She is approx. 5½ inches tall.
Made of ultrasuede and has onyx bead eyes (with eyelids).
She is at present available for sale and can be seen on my stand at the shows I attend.
